, God Bless.I do no not know but would like to thank you both, and pray he stays safe, and for your sacrifice also
since you husband is in the military you could go on post and get something called a cac card it is basical a pay as you go plan. im in korea and i spent like 40$ for 620 minutes to call the states. well good luck and tell your husband that i might get stationed with him would would proudly fight beside him.
I work for T-Mobile and hopefully I can help you some. The first thing you may want to do is call the service provider you bought the phone from and ask for an unlock code for the phone. Explaining to them why you want the code, they should be willing to give the code. Here is a link for the coverage map in Iraq for one of the carriers. http://www.gsmworld.com/cgi-bin/ni_map.pl?cc=iq&net=ot If you can get the phone unlocked, your husband should also be able to buy minutes while there from any vendor and be able to use their sim. Checking the specifications on the phone, it does cover the 900 meg band used in Iraq so the phone will work with no problem on their networks. To get the phone unlocked you will need the IMEI number which is found underneath the battery on the phone. Getting a plan that will allow international roaming will not be a prepaid plan from the US but a post paid and the roaming will be expensive $2.99 a minute from T-Mobile. The advice I received from our cust service rep was that your husband buy a sim there and buy additional minutes when he can. I don’t think I’d expect to reload minutes on the net or anything. Check into military.com as well, the folks there can be a big help. From what I was reading there, they have Iraqi numbers and the spouses call using a calling card or else the bill can be a little extreme.
